Please join us Wednesday, November 11, 7-9 pm for the NCA General Meeting where Bobbi Baldwin will be our demonstrator.
Bobbi Baldwin is a versatile painter who works mostly in oil, soft pastel, and bronze. Her plein air paintings are both figurative and expressive, while her portrait and still life work are completely lifelike in a romantic realism. Bobbi’s goal since she discovered that she could draw at the age of 9 was to really understand how everything is put together, including the science of color, light & shadow and techniques. Bobbi became a full time artist at 30 years of age but started teaching at 26. Throughout her 40 years of teaching, she has painted over 950 paintings.
Please bring an appetizer to share and artwork for the “Artist of the Month” contest. The artworks will be voted on by the attendees and the winner will hang in the Sac Fine Arts center for one month. ALL WORK MUST BE READY TO HANG AND MUST HAVE INFO ATTACHED STATING ARTIST NAME, TITLE AND PRICE. Failure to provide this may result in your piece being disqualified.
Our Raffle Chair, Kathi Bristow, is collecting new or gently used art supplies for our monthly meeting raffle. Feel free to bring to the meeting or coordinate drop off.
