“It Burns” by Elaine Hudson

Elaine Hudson enjoys bold statements and strong colors, preferring a loose, impressionistic rendering of what she sees.  She loves playing with her art, and finds joy in the everyday world around her. Humor, whimsy and a bit of mischief find their way into her work and she cherishse the connection with her public.

Her watercolors are the work of the last several years as she explores  both new and familiar mediums . These pieces are  inspired by the world around her, her imagination and are from places like Tahoe, Tehachapi, Palm Desert, Point Arena and various locations in California.

Elaine has been exploring various media since her 20’s, and is working in watercolors most recently.  Curious about technique, fascinated by color, the world holds unlimited avenues for her to  explore.

Ms. Hudson’s art degree comes from UCSD, and she continues to enroll in interesting classes from local colleges, instructors and fellow artists. “One is never too old to learn something new.” .
