Paul’s artistry combines his Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with studio art classes taken in college, thus using analytic as well as aesthetics to combine art traditions from the past and present in each piece. He has enjoyed doing artwork since his childhood in Carmichael, California, and now focuses on creating portrait and figurative art in a representational style that features influence from old masters, surrealists, as well as touches from abstract expressionism. His mediums are graphite, colored pencils, and sometimes, collage.
Paul currently lives in the Sierra Foothills. When he is not creating art, he is indulging his passion, and side business, in building pipe organs and working on harpsichords, clavichords, and fortepianos.
