Elise Reilly

I started studying art, and pastels primarily, just after I moved from San Jose to Sacramento. That was twenty – five years ago. I had loved doing art as a child but studied music instead of art in school, because I thought I couldn’t draw well enough. The idea that people learn to draw in art school somehow never occurred to me. Now art is becoming the necessity and drive that I have always wanted but never had before. I joined the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in 2019 and have been learning about other media, techniques, and new ideas. I’m having a wonderful time.
