June 2021 General Meeting: Anne Bradley
Anne Bradley, will be giving a mixed media demonstration for our June meeting.

Anne Bradley
Anne York Bradley was born in the Hazard, KY. When she was a young child, the family moved to San Francisco and then settled in Sacramento. She attended Norte del Rio High School, American River College and Sierra College, currently residing in Carmichael, CA. While raising a family, she maintained a gallery in Old Folsom for 24 years as she continued her studies in art, welding, casting and sculpture. She worked with many decorators for custom model homes in the area during that time. Anne also worked as an “Expert Examiner” chairperson for the State of CA hiring personnel for several state agencies. She was the first woman to receive the Don Herberholz Award for Sculpture. she received Best in Show KVIE Art Auction of the same year 2007, the CA State Fair gave her the Innovation Award 2010, In 2015, she also received Best of Show at the Oakwilde Sculpture Park Open competition. Anne is a founding member of the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and is currently represented by the newly remodeled High Hand Gallery in Loomis CA.
“An objective of mine is to inspire people to take another look at familiar objects around them and see them in a different light.
I call much of my current work sculptural paintings, because of the addition of other materials applied to the textured canvas. I feel titles are important for communication of my intent. The steel, metals, vitreous enamel, wood or electroformed copper elements must be fully incorporated into the concept of the piece. I strive to simplify ideas to leave room for input from the viewer. A little mystery perhaps…”
