Carol Brewer accepted the office of NCA President in July 2019.
Carol Brewer opened the Blue Moon Gallery in December 2006 which served local artists in Sacramento. The gallery represented 36 artists with 12 shows a year in the West Gallery and East Gallery, sculpture garden and cottage. After 8 years and a desire to reach out to a wider community, she became the Curator of the ACAI Gallery and Studios (Allied Ceramics Art Institute) in Fair Oaks.
Since 2015 as the Curator of the ACAI Gallery & Studios, she developed the Third Saturday Art walk, improved quality of the Gallery and booked monthly exhibits such as her signature annual Black & White group show, created sculpture Garden, developed a Gallery Membership Program, and increased exhibiting artists.
For the following years (2015, 2017, 2019) she was honored to be the Magnum Opus International juried exhibition Chair supporting the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. This was an enriching experience which gave her the opportunity to meet and work with many new artists.
As the President of the Northern California Arts Inc (NCA), her goal is to continue her personal mission to support artists and provide the community with quality art experiences. She has worked with many of the NCA artists in the past in both galleries and supported the exhibition of their work. Her meeting and working with such outstanding artists is one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. She is honored to accept the nomination from the NCA Board and welcomes the opportunity to share her skills and experience.
