Phyllis Brady
Phyllis Brady served as NCA 1st Vice President of Programs in 2019.
As a Bay Area native of Northern California, Phyllis’ formal art training came from a scholarship awarded from the SF Academy of Art University, and studied at SF State College and Sonoma State College. Majoring in Art, she completed a bachelors with an emphasis on drawing and painting.
After college, Phyllis was a Visual Display designer for upscale department stores. Later, she built from the ground up a Floral and Event design business which she ran for over 24 years from a commercial space with a small dedicated staff. Phyllis received recognition for her floral work, showcased in the annual SF de Young Museum’s Bouquets to Art Exhibit, previously held at the SF Legion of Honor Museum. Her skill and professional reputation made her a preferred floral vendor with wineries, country clubs, and private estates.
Phyllis is a past board member of the California Watercolor Association. She currently serves on the Northern California Arts, Inc. board as well as on the Sacramento Fine Arts Center board as an executive member.
Meanwhile, she continues to evolve her artistic skills, with ongoing life drawing classes, figurative oil painting, and watercolor workshops. To see more of her work, visit her website www.phyllisbradyfineart.com.
