Open Board Positions

UPDATED November 1, 2018.  Several board positions are currently vacant, or will be vacated for 2019. Volunteering for the Board is a great way share your talents, gain experience, and accrue service hours towards your Artist Standing. If you are interested in any of the following positions, please contact us.

Are you the missing piece to our NCA board?

2nd VP of PR & Marketing  Open NOW: Familiar with Facebook and Twitter? This key position benefits from experience with social media.

Aspiring Artist Show Chair – Open NOW: The Call to Artists/Prospectus is released for this show coming up January 2019; a volunteer is needed to coordinate the remainder of the preparations. See Call to Artists: Aspiring Artist Debut 2019.

Secretary: Needed for 2019. Duties include taking minutes during monthly board meetings (first Wednesdays, 7pm), and then typing them up and emailing them for board review, as well as keeping track of records.

Co-Chair of Programs – open NOW: 1st Vice President Leslie Wentworth is looking for a Programs & Workshops co-chair.  This work involves finding and inviting accomplished artists to our NCA meetings so they can share their expertise with our membership, and occasionally hold a workshop as well.  Bookings are in place through 2019, so you will be assisting with those events and filling the schedule for the future.

Awards – open NOW: Provide awards to the prize-winning artists of the three annual NCA shows.  This includes soliciting businesses for donations in kind, creating ribbons and certificates, and coordinating cash prizes. You will be working closely with the Chair for each show, as well as the Treasurer.

Historian – open NOW: Feeling a bit nostalgic lately? Like to throw a party? Historian duties include keeping journal of NCA activities and organizing the archive of records. But wait, there’s more! In 2019, Northern California Arts, Inc. will be celebrating its 80 years of history with a special party during the Membership Show.

We look forward to serving with you!
